The course includes: throwing on the wheel, with centering, lifting and forming clay into cylinders and bowls, pulling handles and turning foot rings.
Hand building techniques using slabs in conjunction with various ceramic surface techniques .
Surface decoration using a range of stoneware glazes, slips and oxides and explore some mark making techniques using monoprinting, wax resist and sgraffito.
Group size of 3 – 4 people allows for a tailored approach to support of individual projects.
